XTB (WSE: XTB) has made its debut in professional tennis, launching a high-profile sponsorship campaign at Roland Garros 2025. The company backed 10 rising players throughout the tournament, a strategic move marking a significant shift from previous endorsements with elite global stars to a new emphasis on emerging talent and “opportunistic marketing.”

Players prominently displayed XTB’s logo on their kits across 12 matches at this year’s French Open, one of tennis’s four Grand Slam tournaments. Athletes sponsored included breakout names such as Lois Boisson and established contenders like Jelena Ostapenko and Marketa Vondrousova, alongside Marie Bouzkova, Daniel Altmaier, Tereza Valentova, Giulio Zeppieri, Quentin Halys, Jaqueline Cristian, and Rebecca Sramkova.

The campaign reflects XTB’s broader marketing pivot. After years of aligning with iconic sports figures like footballer Iker Casillas and MMA star Joanna Jędrzejczyk, the company is now investing in younger, high-potential athletes—particularly those from key markets where XTB operates.

XTB first entered the sports sponsorship arena in 2010 with a Formula 1 partnership and has since expanded to include McLaren F1, mixed martial arts league KSW, heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury, and football manager José Mourinho. Tennis now joins its diverse sports portfolio as a high-visibility avenue for international expansion.

The company’s Roland Garros effort was aimed at players facing top-ranked opponents—maximizing exposure during headline matches—while keeping a focus on regions where the firm sees growth opportunity.

Furthermore, this year’s French Open, which featured over €56 million in prize money and global broadcast reach, provided a powerful platform for XTB’s brand message. The company’s visibility alongside legacy sponsors and sportswear giants signaled a growing presence in mainstream professional athletics.

Strengthening Local Roots Amid Global Growth

Despite its global ambitions, XTB continues to prioritize local market engagement. The company is an active sponsor of Poland’s Drifting Championships, Portugal’s Final Four Cup in football, and maintains a strong presence in the United Arab Emirates through boxing federation partnerships.

XTB’s strategic marketing appears to be paying off. In May, the company was ranked Poland’s largest brokerage house by number of active trading accounts, according to data from KDPW.
