Robinhood expands prediction markets, adds NFL player contracts, and launches AI-powered Robinhood Cortex with personalized portfolio insights.

Key Points:

  • Robinhood launches NFL player contracts, preset and custom combos, expanding its fastest-growing prediction markets.
  • Upgraded Robinhood Cortex delivers AI-driven, personalized portfolio Digests for Gold subscribers.

Doubling down on its fastest-growing business line, US neobroker Robinhood (NASDAQ: HOOD) unveiled major updates to its prediction markets, along with new AI-powered tools for investors, at the Robinhood Presents: YES/NO event in San Francisco.

Furthermore, Robinhood Chairman and CEO Vlad Tenev took the stage to announce enhancements to the platform, including an expanded prediction markets lineup, an upgraded Robinhood Cortex experience, and personalized portfolio Digests. “Robinhood is ushering in a new era in which AI and prediction markets will come together to change the future of finance and news,” Tenev said.

Robinhood Expands AI Tools and Prediction Markets

Since launching at the end of last year, Robinhood’s prediction markets have become its fastest-growing product line by revenue, with over 11 billion contracts traded by more than 1 million customers. In response to customer feedback, Robinhood added limit orders, dollar-based trading, 24/7 access, a live sports contract hub, and a detailed event page for multiple sports. Moreover, the platform now lists thousands of live events across economics, politics, sports, culture, and more.

Robinhood introduced several new tools to enhance trading precision and flexibility:

  • Preset Combos: Customers can now trade pre-built combinations of outcomes, totals, and spreads for individual NFL games, similar to parlays in sports betting. Each combo pays $1 only if all outcomes resolve correctly.
  • Custom Combos: Early next year, traders will be able to combine up to ten outcomes from different NFL games into a single contract.
  • Player Contracts: Starting today, Robinhood customers can trade individual NFL player performances—such as passing, rushing, and receiving yards—in real time. The platform plans to expand player contracts to other sports soon.

“These tools give traders greater control and access to the events they care about most,” Robinhood said, emphasizing that expanding prediction markets supports the company’s goal of enabling anyone to trade or invest in any financial asset.

Robinhood Cortex Gets Smarter

Robinhood also unveiled the next generation of Robinhood Cortex, the AI-powered investing assistant available exclusively to Robinhood Gold subscribers. The upgraded Cortex integrates seamlessly across the app, transforming market data and news into actionable insights.

Key features of the new Robinhood Cortex include:

  • Accuracy: Cortex pulls information from trusted inputs, including real-time market data and Wall Street research reports.
  • Personalization: The assistant connects market shifts, news, and analyst insights to each customer’s portfolio, explaining impacts in plain language.
  • Action: Customers can issue plain-English commands to buy and sell stocks and crypto, explore event contracts, conduct research, and adjust account settings—all while staying in control.

Robinhood plans to roll out the enhanced Cortex experience to Gold subscribers in the first quarter of next year. Robinhood Gold costs $5 per month or $50 annually.

Personalized Portfolio Digests

To help investors understand portfolio performance, Robinhood introduced portfolio-level Digests powered by Cortex. These Digests summarize key drivers of portfolio movement, surface upcoming events such as earnings and stock splits, provide benchmark comparisons, and deliver Wall Street insights directly within the app.

The new Digests will work across self-directed accounts, refreshing multiple times a day or whenever news breaks, and will roll out to Robinhood Gold subscribers early next year.
