Pepperstone gives traders a live, price-based read on investor sentiment as Anthropic moves toward its planned public Nasdaq listing.
Pepperstone launches an Anthropic pre-IPO market, letting traders take positions on the share price they expect at its listing.
Key Points:
Australia-based online broker Pepperstone has launched a pre-IPO market on Anthropic, giving traders a way to take positions on the share price they expect when the AI company lists. Anthropic has filed to go public on Nasdaq under the ticker ANT, and the IPO could value the developer of Claude at an estimated $2 trillion.
Anthropic reported revenues of $16.3 billion in the first half of 2026, compared with $4.6 billion across all of 2025. The company also posted a net loss of $80 billion for the six months.
Pepperstone says its pricing comes from a third-party exchange, where buyers and sellers set the price through supply and demand. Also, the broker argues that this approach differs from valuation-based markets and gives a more transparent gauge of where capital expects the shares to trade at listing.
Pepperstone CEO Tamas Szabo said the market currently trades around $115 and gives participants a live, 24-hour indication of where Anthropic could open in public markets. He stressed that the order book drives the price, so it does not guarantee the eventual opening print.
Chris Weston, Pepperstone’s Head of Research, said the market’s main value lies in its live read on investor sentiment as Anthropic approaches its listing. Traders can see where buyers and sellers are willing to deal, and how that view shifts as more IPO information emerges.
Weston expects the market to become a more useful indicator as the offer price and institutional demand come into focus. In his view, it should then signal the premium or discount traders anticipate when Anthropic starts trading publicly.
Szabo wrote on LinkedIn that Anthropic’s public S-1 filing has given the AI trade a healthy boost. He cited the company’s rapid revenue growth, improving compute economics, and large commitments to future infrastructure investment, all of which reinforce the longer-term opportunity across the AI supply chain. He also described the launch as a chance for traders to take a view, long or short, on the company’s first trade.
