EC Markets UK nearly doubles revenue to $6.3 million in 2025 as trading volume and headcount expand significantly.
Key Points:
The UK unit of EC Markets almost doubled its revenue in 2025, reporting more than $6.3 million against $3.2 million the previous year. According to its Companies House filing, all revenue originated in the UK and fell under what the company described as management services.
The entity clarified in its filing that its principal activity remained that of an execution-only brokerage for CFDs and rolling spot forex, authorized and regulated by the FCA. It also performed risk management services for an affiliated regulated broker under a fixed monthly fee arrangement, which the company acknowledged created an unregulated income stream alongside its core brokerage activity.
After administrative expenses, the UK company delivered operating profit of more than $1 million, up from $614,622 the previous year. Net profit for the year reached $986,885.
Rising administrative costs accompanied the stronger results. The broker ended 2025 with 18 staff, up from 11 the year before, with the expanded headcount reflecting the company’s broader growth across its operations during the period.
EC Markets operates across multiple regulated jurisdictions beyond the UK. In addition to its FCA authorization, the group holds regulatory approvals in Australia, South Africa, Mauritius, Seychelles, and the UAE.
At the global level, EC Markets recorded the highest average monthly trading volume of any broker in the second quarter of 2026, reaching $2.11 trillion. Total quarterly volume climbed to $6.34 trillion, up 23.6% from the previous three months, with approximately 322,000 active traders on the platform during the period. Those figures are the company’s own and have not been independently audited.
Founded in 2012, EC Markets has grown into one of the higher-volume brokers in the retail forex and CFD space, with its UK unit’s latest filing pointing to a business that continues to expand both its revenue base and its operational footprint.
